Maximum Funded Accounts
Most firms cap how many funded accounts you can hold simultaneously. Know the limit before you scale.
Why firms cap accounts
A funded account gives you access to the firm's capital. The more accounts you hold, the more risk the firm carries. Most firms limit you to between 2 and 20 funded accounts. Some allow more if you request it in writing.
Merge rules
Some firms let you combine multiple funded accounts into one larger account. This is called a merge or a scale-up. Check the firm page for whether merge is available and what the size limit is. Not every firm offers it.
How to check
Every firm page on this site shows the published maximum funded accounts. If the number says 'Not published' or shows a dot, the firm has not publicly documented a limit. Confirm directly with the firm before you assume there is no cap.
